Pet a Tiger

If you dream of swimming with dolphins or walking the savana with elephants, then you have to read abut the 5 most controversial and dangerous zoos in the world. You can come in close contact to the most dangerous and vicious animals in the world. Visit a monistary where you can spend a relaxing day with monks and their tigers, or pet a lion, or swim with crocodiles.

Sriracha Zoo, Thailand

The Tiger Temple, Thailand

Maetaman Elephant Camp in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Lujan Zoo, Argentina

My fav is the Tiger temple. It seems to be the most natual place. The tigers are not confined in any way. They walk around, free to run away at any time.  Watch videos now

Volcano City

Etna is 3,329 meters, but the height varies. Eruptions are a common for Catania. Eight eruptions took place in the 20th century. The most recent occurred in 2008, and lasted six months. This is the longest period of activity ever recorded. The most amazing thing is that 300 000 people live in the shadow of the volcano.

I've done a lot of writing about places around the world, but I love Italy most. You can be in the country one day, visiting the worlds most famous tourist attractions the next. On the next day you can be enjoying a world famous wine in the shadow of a monumental church. And then you can walk the dust of a 3000 year old street.

My Home

I grew up in one of the most dangerous places on earth - The Boreal forests of Northern Ontario. What can start as a gentle walk along a pristine lake can become a life and death battle with dampness, cold, and hunger.

I remember one night two boys were lost from a camping site. Search and rescue came in. It was a major production. After a day 2 hunters wandered out and brought the boys back, safe and sound. I spend years playing in the forests without fear. There is a knack of living with nature. Survival tourism is fun - as long as you listen to the experts and play safe.
